My name is Laurie Reule and I have been married for 23 years and have kept busy the past 4 years staying at home to homeschool our daughters. My days are filled with answering questions. Our goal is to teach our kids how to ask questions and then to seek out the truth that is so often hiding in the culture we live in today.
Growing up in a religious home I never questioned what I was taught because I had no idea that some of my questions could be answered. “Just have some faith” or “pray about it” were often the easiest explanations. This worked fine while my life was going well but was useless when difficulties came.
Life has taken me on all sorts of turns and one of the biggest was through a field, or should I say a deep, dark pit of addiction and all the disaster that accompanies it. The past 12 years of my life has been spent healing from addiction while raising our children and managing our home. I was also able to complete an Addiction Caseworker Diploma from McMaster University. One of my passions is to help families find their way through the destruction of addiction and on to finding freedom. People told me I would never be free from the bondage of addiction, they were wrong. That was a lie.
Our world screams so many conflicting ideas out at us and our children. It has become difficult to know what the truth is anymore. Many of us lack the skills needed to even investigate and uncover what the truth is. We wanted to begin this ministry so people could ask questions, voice their doubt and have a safe place to interrogate the truth.
